»SvD Kompakt« – Battling News Fatigue with New Formats

In 2023, the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet (SvD) launched SvD Kompakt—a media product designed specifically for new readers who are more likely to opt out of the news cycle.

SvD Kompakt delivers news in a short format, incorporating a mix of positive stories. Since its launch, it has attracted over 50,000 subscribers.

»NEWLOCAL« – New Approaches for Local Media

In the cooperative project NEWLOCAL, 10 radio, print and online media organisations from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, and Montenegro have joined forces to develop digital products that create new opportunities for local media to engage with their audiences—thereby also opening up new revenue streams through advertising.

The project is funded by the EU’s Creative Europe programme.
