Shelfd is a digital shelf. Shelfd takes over the representation of digital media and broadcasting services at home. The analog representation of the media is supplemented with digital skills as contextual references and background information. Thus digital media returns to the objectivity of our homes. Shelfd allows media users to show and obtain new, rare, favorite and everyday content. Eventually the platform does not only want to replace the ordinary TV magazine, but to grow to a social network for media content.

David Streit was doing his master’s degree in interface design at the Fachhochschule Potsdam until 2013. In July the same year, after the successful defense of his master’s thesis, he started working as a junior art director at Hi-Res! Berlin.
